I've found that I do better off the cuff, rather than reading the fic and then shredding it. 99% of my MSTie comments are my initial reactions to the story, or lack there of.

Ditto here... well, what we do, is one of us (usually me) goes and skims over the fic to see if it's good material.. in terms of length, particularly great badfic lines, suitably bad grammar, etc. Then we all get together in an AIM chatroom, and one of us (once again, I usually get stuck with this) cuts and pastes lines from the fic, and then we all mock it in realtime. The problem with this, of course, is that sometimes two of us will make the same joke at once, or sometimes we'll say lines that would be funnier in a different order. Hence, we usually have to do some degree of post-production work to switch lines around, remove repetitive or confusing jokes, etc.

That's what Kelly and I do, except in the "post-production" work, (haha, I like that term) we translate the comments and jokes into the various character's voices. We find it more fun to have it as if the characters are reading the bad!fic because it's safe to assume they'd be horrified. xD
